Welcome to the Lib Dem Christian Forum
WHO WE ARE
We are Christians who support the Liberal Democrats. We believe that our faith can - and should - lead us to engage in the world of politics.
We are passionate about many issues including social justice, the environment, freedom of conscience, international development, and the treatment of refugees. We join together to have a louder voice. Please join us and make your voice heard.
We will be holding our Gladstone Lecture on:

Kim Leadbeater M.P. has introduced a Private Member's Bill on Assisted Dying which is currently going through Parliament. The text of the bill has been published. You can read it here:

We are considering it very carefully as are so many other people. If this is a subject on which you have a strong opinion, please do continue to email me with your comments and more. We included a selection of members views in our last newsletter but are keen to hear more.
Thank you to all those members who joined us to discuss the bill at our all member zoom meeting. It was a very thought provoking discussion and several points were raised including what provision would there be if the assisted suicide failed. One of the concerns mentioned most was the likelihood of the extension of the scope of the legislation as this seems to have happened in other countries.
